Multiple Material Arts is an engineering and manufacturing firm providing high quality custom solutions using metals and plastics. Multiple Material Arts stands for the art of creating custom solutions out of multiple materials. We use 3D modeling and other manufacturing techniques to bring to life custom ideas and solutions. Multiple Material Arts is also able to assist manufacturers with Computer Aided Design and manufacturing drawings through our contract engineering services.
We create a variety of custom solutions including: automotive/ powersports accessories, prototypes, antique parts you can no longer find, custom signs, memorial pieces, firepits, custom art, and more! This company started from a sole proprietorship in June of 2022, and we say we “engineer ideas to life,” which means we bring ideas to life.

ABOUT THE OWNER:
Mikayla Asfeld is the owner of Multiple Material Arts, PLLC. She grew up as a small-town girl on a farm near West Union, Minnesota. She has nearly 10 years of industry experience from being a certified welder (for 6 years), to a manufacturing engineer, to engineering manager, and now a business owner and operator. All of her manufacturing experience has been in fabrication job shops with 6 of those years being job shops with pressure vessels welded to ASME welding codes.
Prior to working in the manufacturing industry Mikayla worked as a detailer full time while pursuing multiple degrees (hence her attention to detail). Her multiple diplomas include getting her Associate in Arts Degree the same year she graduated high school (2015), Business Management AS (2016), Welding Diploma (2018), and Applied Engineering BAS (2020). While doing post-secondary work in high school she took multiple mathematics courses and drafting courses to complement her goals in the manufacturing industry.
Mikayla has a huge passion for design, manufacturing, art, metals, cars/ powersports, and helping people be successful. She is also an individual member of the American Welding Society (since 2020), a member of the Central Minnesota Blacksmiths (since 2022), a member of the River City Referral Partners Networking Group (since 2024), a member of the Saint Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce (since 2025), and a member of the Central Minnesota Manufacturers Association (since 2025.
